Why Acupuncture?

Acupuncture gently helps restore balance and promote the body's natural healing processes, which can improve a wide variety of conditions & symptoms. There are many benefits, both physically and energetically. The channels that run along and through our bodies can provide a road map for diagnosis and treatment, and are used to help remove blockages or stimulate the function of a specific organ.  This means we can treat internal conditions such as stress & anxiety, insomnia, digestive issues, skin issues, and much more.  Additionally, due to the immediate response our immune system triggers when there is an external invasion to the body, the insertion of acupuncture needles increases blood flow to the area, containing higher amounts of white blood cells (the good guys) for quicker healing.  This allows us to treat pain, injuries and other musculoskeletal issues.

What is
Sliding Cupping?

Sliding cupping, often described as a "reverse massage" is a therapeutic experience that is incredibly effective at relieving pain, stiffness, stress, and even conditions such as asthma, congestion or menstrual cramps.  Glass cups are placed on the body and moved along the affected muscles or meridians with the application of oil.  By trapping heat inside the cups, this creates a vacuum that lifts the muscles and fascia upwards, drawing toxins to the surface of the skin where the immune system can better eliminate them. This process also brings a cascade of fresh healthy blood flow lubricating the tissues and relieving muscle tension.  By applying oil, this allows the cups to move freely and distribute the Qi & blood over a wider area.  Sliding cupping is an amazing way to help release both physical and energetic stagnation in the body.
